CGI ~ The Common Gateway Interface

  • The path to Perl is: #!/usr/bin/perl
  • The path to Sendmail is: /usr/sbin/sendmail

  • To set permissions inside the CGI BIN:
  • Using File Manager, go to your cgi-bin directory and click the Permissions link on the left of the file. Click the appropriate settings needed. Of course, you may also use your favorite FTP client.

Please remember that as the domain owner, you are responsible for any scripts that you install that may be used for malicious purposes, either by yourself or a cracker. Be sure to check out any scripts you may download from the internet before you install them on your website.

If you are getting "Internal Server Error" messages when trying to execute your script, it is usually because your permissions have not been properly set. Note that every time you re-upload an edited script, you may have to reset the permissions again.

If you have any problems you may always go to your Client Login and file a support ticket.
